NIRAD Constitutional Brief

Our Vision

To be nationally and internationally recognized as the professional association representing radiographers in the United Kingdom, in order to enhance the respect and credibility of the profession by the public and professional communities served by radiographers.

Our Mission

NIRAD strives to maintain and improve existing services based on the objectives of the Constitution of the Society and to readily adapt to changes that impact on the training and development of health care services at national and international levels.

  1. Membership Committee: This committee will work on increasing our membership base and enhancing member engagement. It will be responsible for welcoming new members, organising membership drives, and creating initiatives that add value to our existing members.
  1. Education and Training Committee: Education is a cornerstone of our profession. This committee will focus on organising educational events, workshops, and training opportunities to help members stay updated with the latest advancements in radiography.
  1. Public Relations and Communications Committee: Effective communication is essential. This committee will oversee our external and internal communications, ensuring that information reaches our members promptly and our association’s image is positively portrayed.
  1. Annual conference and Activities Committee: This team will organise social and professional events that allow members to network, collaborate, and celebrate our cultural heritage. It will be responsible for planning our annual gatherings and activities.
  1. Research and Development Committee: Innovation is crucial in healthcare. This committee will promote research and development initiatives within our field, providing opportunities for members to contribute to the evolution of radiography.
  1. Welfare and Support Committee: Caring for our members’ well-being is a priority. This committee will focus on supporting members facing challenges, providing guidance, and offering assistance.
